Since 1970, Alves has been developing a full service capability that can help you substantially reduce your fabrication and assembly costs. We machine wrought bar and plate as well as net shapes produced by the casting, forging and powdered metal processes, purchase any required standard hardware and/or plating services at competitive price and delivery schedules. These parts are then converted into complete assemblies of shafts, gears, bearings and other components.
Our capabilities range up to 12 multiple machining operations. We chuck, turn, and grind to perpendicular or parallel tolerances of .001° or less, and machine multiple diameter shafts with concentricity's to .001 5R TIR, utilizing induction hardening, broaching and centerless grinding.
Our technical staff can help redesign your parts, organize their production processes, provide precision machined prototype and short run parts and assemblies on a quick delivery schedule, provide the SPC/SQC certification needed to eliminate your incoming inspection . . . and furnish your production requirements on a JIT basis. In addition, we can minimize your costs by producing prototypes that represent your production parts . . . using our own tooling to mold some of your requirements into powdered metal blanks . . . and
